Board of Directors Announcement
Armin Guttke has been elected to VP Membership, following a unanimous vote by the ITSNZ board of directors. Having proven his ambition and enthusiasm in his work laucnhing the Young Transport Professionals initiative, leading the creation of the COVID-19 transport industry survey and most recently preparing a membership review report and strategy as shown at the recent AGM.
Chair Mike Rudge explains some of the background to his unanimous appointment, and why Armin will be a good fit for the role,
"Outlined in the recently published 2020-2022 Strategy and Business plan it is our aim is not only to grow but also diversify the ITSNZ membership. Armin embodies this as he is not from a traditional ITS background, he brings broad industry experience in global digital/technology to the organisation with a focus on data-driven outcomes. He has quickly come to terms with the segments within our membership and the exciting potential for growth and technology development in this sector."
Armin's past experience includes significant governance and leadership experience in technology and innovation roles and he has held leadership and management roles across a variety of public and private sector organisations including founding his own start-ups. He is currently a senior leader for Inov8 with a significant transport sector profile, having previously held IT consulting and policy delivery management roles at Fujitsu NZ, and the IRD.
Armin is a member of the Institute of Directors New Zealand, IT Professionals New Zealand, and TUANZ (Future Leaders Programme).
Armin recently launched the ITS NZ YTP Brand and compiled an ITSNZ membership strategy in alignment with the overarching 2020-2022 ITSNZ strategy and business plan which he contributed to.
